Day Seven

The MRI results are back. They have found two new compression fractures. The grand total is now seven compression fractures. The fractures are stable yet painful. We are not sure when they happened. They could of happened when he fell or they can just happen. We think one of them must of happened last week. John woke up Thursday morning in pain. The good news is that there is no mass on his spine and he won't require radiation treatments. The anomaly they found on his spine was one of the fractures. Dr. S said not to worry...when this is all done they will get his bones stronger. They don't do premidranate (bone strengthener) treatments when they do chemo.

Other than the back pain John is feeling well. His kidneys are staying stable. His white counts are still good. They will drop probably around Sat. or Sun. They call that "neu-tro-peen-ick" I will not attempt to spell that. If he can get through this without an infection, round one of the chemo has not been too bad.

Please pray that John will not feel discouraged. It is hard with the fractures and it seems like taking another step backwards.

Thank-you all for your comments. I find them very encouraging and look forward to checking for them every day. John also checks them so you can leave him a note there or give him a call.

Thanks for the update Chris. That's too bad about the fractures but it's good that there is no mass. Praying that they get his pain under control. Love you guys.

Every morning in the staff room we pray for you, John. The teachers, of course, have never met you, but they all feel very connected to you. Part of that is because they know me, but I believe that the biggest thing is that we are all in the family of God and that connects us. We are thankful that there is no mass growing on your spine and will continue to pray for complete healing. In the meantime, Lord, if you could put your hand on John and ease the pain he is experiencing. John, we pray for you often. I love you.

Thankfully the mass was not something more serious than fractures. We pray for all of you while you deal with all the issues involved in the chemo treatments and beyond. It is nice to be able to come here and get an update. Thanks.
*huge hugs to you all.

John we just tried to call you. Rang and rang. Will try to call again later. We are praying for you and your whole family. Just wish we could come and visit but you are in our thoughts all the time.
*huge hugs* to you and your family. Love you all.

Of COURSE I googled it. LOL. I don't actually know things. I've decided to completely switch all my thinking functions from my brain to google... It seems to be working well so far, so I'm sticking with it.
