Sorry that I have not updated sooner. There really has not been much to tell. John started his sixth round of chemo last week. It is supposed to be his last round. It has been getting harder and harder physically for him with each successive round. His immune system has been compromised. He has had two bouts of fever. He is over that now. Sometimes his red blood counts have been low and that makes him feel weak and tired. The cyclophosphomide is wrecking his stomach. It has gotten to the point that his poor stomach is so sore that he really is not eating. I am going to go and get some Boost or Ensure and see if he can handle that. I don't think it helps his stomach to be empty either. He says that he is not going to take it next week. I don't blame him. If it is going to eat a hole in his gut, I think it is time to stop. Really, how much more good is it going to do? All of this is getting him down. It has to be very depressing to feel so awful day after day. It is a good thing that the hockey ply offs are on. That helps to pass the time.

Please tell John that we are praying for him. This must be so discouraging. We will just have to pray harder that his body will recover and that he will be healed of this. Our God is good and loves us more than we can imagine so we will hold onto that for John and for you, Chris that you can stay positive in your spirit and keep on supporting him the way you have.
Tell John that I'm sorry that he's feeling so crappy...we're praying, and yet sometimes that just doesn't feel like it's enough. In my heart I know that it is, but - I think you know what I mean. Hope that he gets his strength back, and that his stomach settles so he can eat!
I also know from watching my mom, it's hard to know what to do to help your hubby who is sick, and feels helpless at times...praying for you to Chris....take care both of you.
I'm so sorry, Chris. This has to be hard on both of you. It must be really hard to stay positive and feel you are on top of things. Tell John to be sure to take it easy. There will always be chores and things that have to be done. He needs to rest and take care of himself. And don't forget the same for you. I love you both and will continue praying and sending positive energy your way.
That sucks. We are still praying that things will just all work out. I don't really know what else to say. I'm sure you must be getting tired of hearing that over and over, yet it's all we can do. When we don't know what is going on, we just trust in the One who does.
Take care.
I'm so sorry to hear what a toll this is taking on John and yourself. Please know my prayers are with you and yes, Praise God he has the playoffs to entertain him...I hope his team wins! I hope you both feel our hugs.
