Just Throwing This Out There... (Updated)

It would sure be great if somehow we could get Dad some computer access at the hospital. There are webcams in both of the homes where his grandchildren live and I know we would all love it if we could do some webcam visiting. PLUS he could play spider and peruse facebook and blogs to his heart's content right in the comfort of his bed!

(There is a computer down the hall, but without a webcam and if he is feeling sick I don't know how able he will be to get down there... Also there are isolation issues that I am not sure of.)

The thing is... It costs money to get internet access in your hospital room and we would need a laptop for him to use. If anyone knows of anyone who has a spare laptop that they are not using... Or if anyone would like to contribute to the fee the hospital charges let us know. I think it would be nice...

Just throwing it out there to see what everyone else thinks though. There may be other ways he could do some webcaming that I haven't thought of.

UPDATE: Apparently Dad can't even afford TV, so that is probably more important right now. It costs around $10.00 a day, which after a month... $300.00. Isn't that terrible? I don't understand how the hospital can justify taking advantage of patients like that. I really think I may need to write to the Star Phoenix.
