Yes....they came and moved John to a private room yesterday evening just because they had one open and they were eventually going to have to move him anyway. It has no river view so he will have to go visit the family room to get some sun but he has his own bathroom which does matter especially when he starts to swell up and they make him pee a lot. Did I mention that his swelling had all gone and that he was looking normal and not like a chipmunk?
He had a good Day one of D PACE. It was pretty uneventful. The main problem that he has is cold sweats. He keeps a towel over his head almost all the time. Maybe with his private room and with the thermostat at his control he can even it out a bit. I won't report on day two of the chemo until this evening.
Please pray for the other patients on the floor and the nursing staff. It was an eye opener to be in a public room for a day. Some patients are quite hard on the nurses. Some patients are very ill with little chances for survival. Please pray for Dan and his family. The Lord will know what that is about. I don't know how the nurses don't spend a whole portion of their day off crying somewhere.

Thank you, Lord for the private room for John. I was worried about him being in public room with so many sick people coming and going. We will continue to pray at home as well as at work. What a privilege to belong to the family of God. So many people holding each other up in prayer. We love you.
I can imagine that it is a very sad place to be. Sometimes we wonder how nurses can seem a bit cold and uncaring but if they allowed themselves to care, they might be off crying all the time. We will pray for the staff as well as John.
It sounds like the private room is a good thing, but also does not have a nice view. Glad to hear day 1 went well, and praying the day 2 will be uneventful.Art is pretty disappointed that he could not go and visit. Will his phone number stay the same in the private room?
