The kidney functions are improving. Dr. M. thinks that the cancer has been continually effecting the kidneys and says as the cancer is destroyed that the kidneys may substantially rebound! Its not a promise but he sees this as a real possibility.
We now have TSN in the family room. We still ordered TV for the weekend as the family room is being used by a very large family and John has to avoid the family room when it is crowded. I think that Sask. Tel added TSN to the rest of the package that they have donated. Thanks to the MON of 6100 and Sask. Tel. for being so prompt in responding to our request. I am amazed. That is so nice.
Today was a nice day. They upped the pain meds and John is doing much better. We went for a long walk, spent time in the lounge when it was empty doing jigsaw puzzles. LOL John claims to not like jigsaw puzzles but probably will have this almost finished by the time I get back there tomorrow! LOL
The food was not very good today. It is impossible to order anything with ground beef is it as it is all the same substance as the salisbury steak! Todays variation was with mushroom soup. It is impossible to disguise the meat in anything. I wonder how much of this comes back to the kitchen. I would like to see what comes back! I can't imagine how anybody could eat this stuff. It was a good thing that I brought chile for lunch and gave that to John. He had a huge lunch so wasn't very hungry for supper.

Poor Guy. Maybe the cooks should just scrap the ground beef thing alltogether.
Good news on the kidney function. God is good and answers our prayers. Not always at the pace we would like to see, (like instantly) But in His time healing will come. We just have to continue to do our part.

So glad that things are going well! I love coming on here and finding out that more good stuff is in Uncle John's future! I remember reading in a book once that a lot of people fighting cancer often visualize themselves fighting the cancer cells. As I thought of this I got this picture in my head of Uncle John praying and as he prayed, Christ came riding up behind him on a white horse(much like he's described in the battle of Armageddon) and with the sword coming from his mouth he destroyed everyone of the cancer cells. It was pretty cool. I love you Uncle John! We pray for you every night. Chloe either says"Unca john aww bettah" or says yes with great conviction then starts to cry cuz she doesn't like when anyone needs to be all better. We will keep on praying until we have it beat!
I am so happy to hear that his kidneys are functioning better. This is good news. We will continue to pray for complete healing. I think we will also have to pray for the cooks there. At least you can bring him something that tastes good so that he is not condemned to eat that food until he gets to go home.
Oh I'm so happy. I wish it wasn't so late and I could call one of you. Oh well... Tomorrow. (Plus I may cry on the phone if I talk to either of you tonight.)

Great news about the kidneys. Will pray that they return to full function.
Sorry about the food. They really do need some help, if all the meat is pretty much the same. At least you can bring in some food for him to enjoy.
