John had an appointment at the Kidney Clinic on Friday. His kidneys have weathered the chemo treatments without having additional damage. He does not have to go to Kidney Clinic for another half a year. I am hoping that this means that he can eat foods that contain potassium more than he was able to, say around last spring. He was able to do this while he was in treatment as the chemo leached the potassium out of his system. We will have to play this by ear so to speak. We will watch what the K levels are doing as we get his blood work back. Pray that they stay level. Most healthy foods contain potassium...oranges...potatoes...tomatoes...cantelope...yams anddark green vegetables to name a few.

Hooray for the test results. It is so good to read your blog knowing that you are home and getting stronger. We will continue to pray.
I am so blessed to here that he doesn't have to go back to the clinic for 6 months. That is awesome.
We are checking here every day as mom is always anxious to here how you are doing. She says to let you know that just because she is far away, her prayers are still with you.
I bet you knew that anyway, as are ours.
Bless you all.
That is grrrrreat news. Wonderful to hear good news, and that John is home, and on his way to feeling more like his old self.
Praying for you always.
Good to hear that he won't have to go to the kidney clinic for too long, and that he didn't have any more damage from the chemo in that regard!! :D Very glad. And how he also doesn't have to miss out on all those good yummy foods! Except for cantaloupe, which is gross.
