Shingles

I would be happy if these were the kind that you put on the roof. Sadly, they are not. Since Thursday John was having pain in his shoulder. At first I thought that maybe he pulled something. The pain proceeded to go down his arm and up his neck. Don't be alarmed there were no other signs of heart attack. By Monday morning I talked him into going to emerg. They took X-rays and that was inclusive. The E.R. doctor was concerned that his Myeloma had reactivated. We went from there over to the Cancer Centre. He saw Dr. V. who eased our minds about the Myeloma returning. It has not. He did think that maybe it was Shingles which is common in people with compromised immune systems but there were no blisters. Today there are blisters. He will go in and see Dr. W. and get some anti-viral meds. He is in a lot of pain. He had trouble sleeping.

They have decided on who the donor will be but the final say is going to go to whatever group does the transplant. Things should start happening soon.

Oh ouch!! That sounds painful! Poor guy! Hopefully they will go away soon.
As far as the trip goes, I sure hope you can go to Calgary or at least Seattle. It's way closer for us island people to get to Seattle than Calgary or Hamilton but in Calgary at least you would be close to most of your family.
We will be praying it all works out!
