We are leaving for Seattle on September 10th. We don't have to be there until the 19th but are planning a small detour. We will stop for a few days on Vancouver Island and visit our son and a bunch of John's siblings and try to pretend that we are on a holiday. Maybe that will help us from feeling too sad when we pull away from our house and we won't be crying as we drive away like we did the last time we left to go to Seattle. I will make sure that I don't play any sentimental music. Last time, one of grandpa's and Sammy's favorite songs came on the tape player. That caused instant blubbering. Who would of thought that Niel Diamonds "A Beautiful Noise" would bring a person to tears!
We will be staying at Union Bay Apartments again. That is nice as I know exactly what to expect and it helps me in knowing what to pack. I am hoping that we can go a little lighter this time. I went shopping and bought all the over the counter drugs that we will need. They cost just about double in the States.
John has been feeling good so that is great and we should have no trouble with the drive.
Soon as we get there and get our phone I will let you all know so maybe you can give us lonely ones a call. We will have our laptop with as well. That has been the best purchase we have made up to now. Second favorite purchase is the GPS. We had to get a new one as John froze the life out of the battery by leaving it out in the car in the middle of our bitterly cold winters.

I am so glad you posted! We can all hardly wait to see you! Mom said you'd be here Aug 10th so I'm glad that is cleared up.
I imagine it will be hard to once again say good bye and our prayers are sure with you.
Take care and we'll see you soon :)
Glad to hear you're getting things in order. I had no idea meds were so much more expensive here in the states. I'm sure these few weeks leading up the trip is a busy, stressful time. Glad you're getting the chance to meet up with family on the way. You are all definitely in my thoughts.
I hope you have a good trip. Let me know when you get here and we can get together and watch some Corner Gas! Maybe we can go do some stuff, too, while the weather is nice and before John has to stay put.
I am confused. Is your departure date on this blog a type-o or on your blog. I assume you are actually leaving on August 10. Have a safe trip.
