End of Day Four

Day three went as well as could be expected. So far the effects of the chemo have been tolerable. John has had a bit of swelling, feels somewhat bloated and is tired. If this is the extent of the side effects we will consider ourselves fortunate. We give thanks to God for watching over us.

Yesterday Jonathan, Mike and Blair came and watched the Rider game with John while I sat in the family room and did a puzzle. That little room was too full for all of us and I didn't mind anyway. It would be nice if the television in the family room had TSN but it is not part of the subscription package. We are going to see if we can donate some coin and get them to buy that channel for the rest of the year. John will be residing at the RUH a lot in the next few months. There are also a lot of other guys on the floor who would enjoy this feature. When you walked down the hall just about every other room had the game on.

My mother is feeling poorly again. I think it is due to some flu bug. She feels nauseated and hardly eats anything. A couple of weeks ago we had to take her to emergency. She was a bit dehydrated so they gave her an I.V. She had started to feel better. Last Thursday started to feel bad again. She took a Gravel and seems to be doing better this morning. Please pray for her health. It is very hard for us to take care of her if she has a bug as we have to be very careful not to expose John to anything.

I pray your Mom is feeling better soon. It must be really tough to have to be so careful not to bring a virus in to John. Our prayers continue.

Hope I get to come in and see John soon. Now that Connor is sick and alot of us have been exposed(even distantly)we will have to wait for a while. Praying that John feels better soon and that none of his family gets sick. We miss you all.

p.s. praying for your Mom also.
